Connecting your water inlet pipe to your washing machine

If you’re installing a new washing machine or reinstalling your appliance after moving house, ensuring the correct washing machine water connection is essential. Without a proper water connection, your appliance won’t function correctly. Moreover, a loose inlet hose can lead to issues if not properly secured.

You will need to connect the mains water inlet hose supplied with your Beko washing machine to both the water supply and your washing machine. To connect your washing machine water inlet hose, follow these steps:

1. You will notice the mains washer inlet hose has a right-angled connector at one end and a straight connector at the other end. The right-angled connector should be attached to the water inlet valve at the back of the washing machine.
2. Check that both water inlet hose connectors have a rubber seal in place; these prevent the washing machine and water inlet hose from leaking.
3. To attach the water hose to your washing machine, simply tighten the connector to the water inlet valve by hand in a clockwise direction. Your washing machine inlet hose connector should be tight enough that water doesn’t leak when turned on.
4. The straight connector should be connected to the cold-water tap; again, you only need to tighten this water inlet connector by hand.
5. Once connected, turn on the water and check for leaks. If water is leaking from your washing machine inlet hose connectors, try turning them clockwise until the water stops leaking.
